Welcome to Cruisin Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Website

About Us: Wendell and Cindi Rackler

Dog Bone

We fell in love with the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed back in the late 1990's when we first saw them receive recognition in the American Kennel Club (AKC) dog shows here in the United States as a member of the Toy Group. We began researching the breed and once our children graduated from high school and began their college years we decided to fill our empty nest with some fur kids.

Educational Background

I hold a Bachelor Degree (BA) in Computer Information Systems (computer programming). I finished my degree in 2004 at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. I was employed by Tec Masters, Inc. in 2004 through 2006 as a multimedia designer designing software for military training. Do to the war in Irac many funding contracts were cut back and thus caused lay offs at my company. My website has now become my tool to show off my computer skills. My degree is not actually in HTML development, which is how websites are formatted, but my ability to read and interpret code has helped me to latch on to a fast changing environment that fuels my desire to learn more about the web and how I can make my website a user friendly environment for all ages. I do design websites for others so if you are interested in having a website designed please click the following link for more information:

Kylie Marie

Kylie Marie

I am a new grandma to a very sweet granddaughter named Kylie Marie who was born April 5, 2007. Kylie spends a lot of time here at Grandma and Pa-Pa's house. Kylie loves our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and her very first word was "Doggy"...go figure! She has become an expert at doggy door inspections and uses the doggy door almost daily to escape out into the backyard where she can run and play with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. We have devoted the next few links just to Kylie. Kylie's links are divided up into each year since she was born in April of 2007. We hope you will enjoy Kylie's web pages:

My handsome boy Cruiser!

Pictured here with me is my AKC Champion Cruiser. Our "Cruisin Cavaliers" name comes from Cruiser...he is our first champion.

My husband, Wendell, is employed with GoodYear. He is a Maintenance Technician and is in charge of keeping the highly computerized machines up and running at all times. He has been employed with GoodYear for over 17 years and also enjoys riding his bike with fellow friends from GoodYear in his spare time. Wendell also holds a BA degree in Criminal Justice from Cameron University.

Dog Bone

Through the years we have acquired several Cavalier King Charles Spaniels...all are cherished pets;
however we do breed a few of them selectively.

Before we breed our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels we update their health certifications and take pride in producing the healthiest puppies possible.

Temperament is very important to us here at Cruisin Cavaliers. Temperament is not only handed down to puppies from the parents, it can also be influenced by the breeder. We spend a great deal of time with our Cavalier puppies on a daily basis socializing them and introducing them to knew experiences in order to ensure they are each well rounded and socially capable of handling a wide variety of situations.

Handling begins the minute a Cavalier puppy is born and detailed records are kept all along the way while the litter is being raised. Since we breed in hopes of obtaining a show prospect we must treat each Cavalier puppy from day one as if it might be the next show ring king or queen.

Since we cannot keep them all we are very careful about when and with whom we place our Cavalier puppies. We allow our Cavalier puppies to go to their new homes after 10 weeks of age. Sometimes a few Cavalier puppies in each litter will be kept longer for further evaluating. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies that stay with us longer will receive all needed shots at age appropriate times along with house training.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are nicknamed the "Comfort Spaniel" for their deep desire to snuggle and comfort their family. Once you have owned a Cavalier, I am sure you will agree that no other breed can compare to this small package of wonder...they are indeed an incredible breed...always happy, joyous, playful, loving, and eager to please. In my opinion they are incredible little dogs and I have found it very hard to stop collecting them...all of my fur babies are very special to me and I adore their loyalty and comfort they are always so eager to show me each and every day.
