While Vivy enjoyed her romp in the living room today she found Kylie's toy dog which seems to be a favorite with our Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Kylie's toy dog has been pulled by several of our other Cavaliers on different occasions and as you explore our website you should run across several more photos where Kylie's dog has stepped in for a photo moment.

Vivy stays close to her sire "Cruiser" in hopes of learning a few tips about proper doggy behavior. Cruiser has guided Vivy over to our statue of a dog digging a hole in the ground and is explaining to Vivy that this is not a good idea because Mom (me) doesn't like for Cavaliers to dig holes in her yard :)

Vivien reminds me so much of Cruiser now when I look at her. She is going to have his heavy coat also.

Both Cruiser, her sire, and Penney, her dam, have a very easy going loving temperament so Vivy was destined to get this wonderful temperament as well.

Vivien does have a thing for eye balls. She will get right up in my face and look deep into one of my eyes and then sniff that eye and step back a moment to watch my eye again. I guess she is fascinated by my blinking or something.

Cavalier King Charles Black and Tan

At nine months of age we realized Vivien would be a perfect match for a family we had on our waiting list for a black & tan female. Our family has a two year old daughter just the same age as our Kylie. Vivien really enjoys children and is the perfect lap dog that would be wonderful as an only dog in a small family. It is always a bit harder when placing an older puppy/dog because the attachment is much stronger, but the advantage comes because I know the tendencies of an older puppy/dog so much better and once I meet the perfect family I just know it. Luckily, for me Vivy will be living just an hour away in Oklahoma City and we plan to get together for play dates with her daughter and my granddaughter so I will continue to stay very close with Vivy and get to see her continue to grow up and bond with her new family.
